- We were super touristy and took a Hop-On-Hop-Off bus to see all of Valencia because its suppaaaa big.
Someone's excited.
- First stop: THE BEACH! It was a weeee bit chilly, but it was still beautiful and great to be near the ocean :)
Me and daddy on the beach!
- We ate at a restaurant on the beach. My parents got their first taste of paella aka DELICIOUSNESS.
- Later, we introduced our parents to the most wonderful Spanish delicacy that exists: churros. I'm pretty sure this wonderful food and our quest to find the perfect ones are why I have gained 34983749572 pounds while I've been here.
Is your mouth watering yet?
- We hit up one of the largest markets in Europe - el Mercado Central. I introduced my parents to the concept of extremely cheap wonderfully delicious bread. Here a whole loaf was 40 cent. WHAT. So we bought one of those, filled it with ham and cheese, then there ya go! Lunch for three.
- Later we ventured to La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias where they have a bunch of really cool architectural buildings and museums.
Yo y mi madre :)
- My mother told me how much she loves streetlamps. So I have started to take pictures of streetlamps wherever I go. Maybe I'll devote an entire post to them.
- We went the weekend before Valencia's big festival: Las Fallas. But, we were super lucky and they already had some festivities going on! It's so like Spaniards to start partying before the actual party. HOW TYPICAL.
- Lastly, my mother insisted that we see the ceramic museum. So we went, and turned out, it really wasn't of just ceramics. It was actually some really rich guy's house from a while ago and it was beautiful. My mother was only slightly obsessed.
It kind of looks like the Sound of Music or something, doesn't it?
All in all, Valencia was super fun to visit with the parents. I'm glad I got to travel with them and show them another part of Spain. And also show them how Sevilla is still so much better :)
